And you thought there were no holidays coming up until Labor Day. Did you forget all about National Daiquiri Day?

What? You didn't know there was a day to celebrate, the shaken but never stirred daiquiri?

Jennings Stockton Cox invented the daiquiri drink in Daiquiri, Cuba in 1898. Here is his original recipe

    Bacardi Hand-Shaken Daiquiri
     • 3 parts BACARDI® Carta now known as BACARDI® Superior Rum
     • 1 part lime or lemon juice
     • 1/2 part sugar

In a shaker with ice, combine ingredients. Shake and pour into glass.

Shhhhhhh don't tell anyone but I have been known to make a slushy daiquiri in the blender with Captain Morgan.  Blender or shaker celebrate with a daiquiri or two tonight
