With the WPT coming to Biloxi in January, I was wondering if anyone plans to play any of the events.  Usually this is run in Tunica along with the WSOP circuit event there and I play some preliminary events.  But this year it's Biloxi.  Anyone planning to play?

Not me. I've got plans to win the TW Third Bullet Bounty Killboard contest, winning that spiffy TW T-shirt and having it to wear at next years WSOP, which I assume will be in Vegas.

But you brought up some fond memories that I had in Biloxi in my mind. Spent a good bit of my first marriage's honeymoon there. Also, over the years as a truck driver, I managed to get there a few times.

The casinos there are first rate. Of course at that time, I was poker ignorant. But I will never forget the time, as a single truck truckdriver, I made $1,000 on the slots, then went to go learn Baccarat. I met a very precious lady friend, as we both proceeded to laugh and cry about our lack of knowledge of the game. She had about a $1,000 also. we both doubled that over many hours, then we proceeded to lose every cent.

The two of us had struck up a mutual attraction, if you know what I mean. On the way out of the casino, and by the way, we were quite drunk, we passed that slot machine that had won me $1,000 earlier. Taking one of my last dollars, I stuck it in, and damned if it didn't line up the 3 "special" symbols for the Jackpot. The shame was, you had to have put $3 in to get that. Still we won $1,000. Life was very good that night.

This story has a very sad end. Her and I hit it off quite well. Oh the plans we made. I returned to work, and had about a weeks worth of great phone conversations with her. Then her line went dead. No answers for days. I was off in California. Her mother finally answered and told me the news that my casino lady had died in a head one wreck with a drunk truck driver. Life was very bad that night.

I seem to have gotten off track. I love Biloxi. I am sure that someone, somewhere, is smiling kindly on your endeavours there. please keep us updated.

Dang Villaridge.  That was good story with one sad ending.  I still haven't made up my mind whether to go to Bilxoi in early January or wait and go to Tunica in late January.  WPT or WSOP.  Decisions, decisions, decisions.
