I'm probably putting myself in the categories of newbie and donk by saying this...but I never watch hands play out that I'm not a part of.  Obviously, I should be doing this, to capture tendencies and figure out opponent's betting patterns, but I don't have the patience for it.  So, here's what else I like to do:

--check emails
--message board on Imdb
--Weather Channel
--Baseball highlights
--laundry

So, does everyone else multi-task, or do you watch hands you're not in?  What do you do while playing?

Tournaments I muliti table.. if I am only in two games I am usually doing work or watching a video at the same time

Cash tables are a different story... there I am focused and watching the players, making notes and practicing patience  Grin  It's one of the reasons I don't play cash tables as much as I should.... just haven't had the time of late to dedicate to them

I do basicaly everything while playing poker, including making a 3 course dinner. Most of the time I am watching TV, housework, and yapping on MSN Wink

ahh yes i remember back in the day,i use to be able to multitask,with things like playing other poker games besides just one or two at the most these days,while listening to Sirius Satellite Internet Radio while i browsed and responded to threads posts and replies at various different poker forums,and watching TV.

but these days i have a hard time doing anything besides keep my full attention on my 5 month old,he can't quite crawl yet,but he flops around alot.his flopping around is very dangerous and i don't recommend taking your eyes off your children  Undecided  while trying to play a focused game of poker.

but my wife and i do a good job of balancing out the baby duties so that both of us get to do the things we enjoy.

When I am playing I stay on Messenger or navigate on the internet.But you have to watch at your opponents how they are playing Cheesy So the best thing when you are playing poker is to be focused at the game and at your opponents Smiley

Come on ditto, u can still multi task, actually ur 5 month old should already be in traing for the wsop, lol put him up on ur lap and get him going.lol cute baby by the way congradulations, gl and c ya on the felt. P.S if u start winning we now its the baby and not u. lol

i do a number of things while playing mtt and sit n gos the most common thing i do is deep in the tourney usaly make or oder food clean my apartment go outside with screen open smoke say hi  to the nieghbors but i havent realy worked out latley cause i will also do that while playing anywase gl at the tables ladies and gentelmen
