Poker4ever........
Well back in the day P4E was the shit... Then along came the password thiefs
Many many affiliates complained to the affiliate manager about the password thiefs and reported the sites that were posting passwords to private events in the hope they would have their affiliate accounts banned.
This was not the case.....
In P4E's infinate wisdom they decided that the easiest way to handle the problem was to make all private events closed to only players that downloaded form the hosting site....
Did the password thiefs go away? YES!
Did the rule harm the amount of players playing in private events? YES!
So all the affiliates complained again....
The affiliate manager said hey, you wanted it fixed, it is fixed, deal with it.
So business fell..... Then on top of that the UIEGA (stupid gambling law) came about and killed much of the remaining business.
P4E decided to become a network instead of a single room to bring business up.
As Everleaf Gaming, they opened poker room after poker room..... Affiliates contacted these other rooms and made all kinds of deals about opening their private events to all players....
The new owners of the rooms were unaware that "Everleaf" (P4E) had a rule that said only players that use banners from forums are allowed in those forum tournaments...
So forum after forum got players to open up new accounts at the new poker rooms (except TW did not do this).
Everleaf figured this out and said hey..... ONLY ONE ACCOUNT PER PLAYER ON THIS NETWORK.
What to do now.....
Abandon ship says all forum owners........ keep the account open that you opened from my affiliate banners and keep playing in our tournaments.......
Well that didn't work... some players liked the "colors" of some of the rooms and/or won a little money in a private event or a freeroll and stuck with that particular room.
So now you have players scattered all over the network and none of them can play together in a private tournament at a different room because you can only have one account open on the network...
Now everyone complains, everyone switches poker rooms as the other forums they belong too have private events and it is a mess.
Have I brought all this up to the staff at Everleaf? YES!
Will they ever change the rules? Who knows
What I do know is that there are over 500 players that are (were) eligible to play in the private events at Poker4ever hosted by TW.
TW has given away
$11,149 at Poker4ever since Feb 2006, and tried to give-a-way
$12,979 over the course of that time. So out of all the tournaments hosted a total of
$1,830 has gone to waste (quite a bit if you think about it). But, the loss only accounts for about 14% of the total, not bad considering what has gone on.
(These stats are all verifiable and I will email anyone the spreadsheet that wants to see them)Most of that money went to waste because of all the poker room jumping players have done on the network lately.
For this month there is $70 available and it will probably go in the trash too...
Or, maybe some of you can go back to your old Poker4ever accounts and start playing in the tournaments again

Yes, there are still some of your old friends playing under the P4E skin and have not moved on to other rooms; thats why you still get the FREE money every month to play with.
Will there still be games hosted on P4E every month? YES!
