I received today a promotion for a wireless mouse for playing poker. I have been using the exact same mouse for several years, but mine isn't wireless.

I have several mice as I change them off frequently to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome.. trackball, wheeled, two button and more, optical and laser. They all have a different shape and require different movements to use.

For usual surfing I will use a wireless mouse. The wireless I use most has an indicator on it that tells me how much battery life is left. I have another wireless mouse that does not have an indicator... and of course the mouse battery dies at the most inappropriate time.  I don't understand using a wireless mouse for playing poker, without some battery indicator.  Can you imagine having the nuts and your battery dies?

And cost wise? The poker wireless mouse model is more than 4 times the price of the wired model.  If you need additional cord an extension cord is just a few dollars. I have several that came with USB sticks and MP3 players

Here is the one I use in black (mine is in silver) from Amazon

One finger mouse - $15.20

Daniel Negreanu had twittered in the past a picture of the mouse he was using while lying in bed. It was the silver one I use. Now he is promoting the uber expensive wireless model

Just a matter of choice. I am sure many of you would prefer the wireless model. Just a word of caution, make sure your batteries are always fully charged.

Good to note.I use an optical mouse(wired) and I love it.It makes you wonder why anyone would use a ball type mouse. No taking apart n cleaning,no missing or jumping.
Throw your ball type away, optical or laser is the way to go.
